Job Description

JobOverview:

The Freight SalesAccount Executive is responsible for identifying, prospecting, and developingnew business opportunities within the transportation industry. The primaryfocus of this role is to generate new business revenue through the sale offreight brokerage services, including full truckload, less-than-truckload, andintermodal transportation. BusinessDevelopment:

• Identify, prospect, anddevelop new business opportunities through targeted sales efforts, includingcold-calling, networking, and customer referrals. • Conduct market research andstay current with industry trends and market conditions to identify potentialbusiness opportunities. Sales:

• Build and maintain strong relationships withexisting and new customers to achieve revenue goals. • Develop and delivercustomized transportation solutions that meet customer needs and exceedexpectations. • Negotiate rates and contracts with customers and carriers toensure profitable margins. AccountManagement:

• Work closely withcustomers and carriers to ensure timely and efficient transportation offreight. • Manage customer and carrier relationships, providing exceptionalcustomer service and resolving any issues that arise. • Communicate regularlywith customers and carriers to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunitiesfor growth. Reporting:

• Provide regular sales reports to the Director ofSales, including pipeline management, revenue forecasting, and other keyperformance metrics. • Utilize company software to manage and track customerand carrier data, sales opportunities, and revenue forecasting.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration,Marketing, or related field preferred. • 3-5 years of sales experience in thetransportation industry, preferably in freight brokerage services. • Excellentcommunication, negotiation, and customer service skills. • Proven track recordof meeting or exceeding sales goals. • Strong knowledge of the transportationindustry, including market trends, rates, and regulations. • Proficient inMicrosoft Office and customer relationship management software.

Physical Demands:

The Freight Sales Account Executive is primarily anoffice-based role that requires sitting, standing, and working on a computerfor extended periods of time. Some travel may be required.

Work Schedule:

The Freight Sales AccountExecutive is expected to work a full-time schedule, typically Monday throughFriday, with occasional evening and weekend work required to accommodatecustomer and carrier schedules. Some flexibility in the work schedule may berequired to meet business needs.

Compensation and Benefits:

The Freight Sales Account Executive will receive acompetitive base salary plus commission based on sales performance.
