The Salvation Army Midland Ferguson Community Empowerment Center is looking for an Intake & Assessment Specialist. This individual will to complete initial assessments for individuals of all ages who are seeking assistance with The Salvation Army. Intake Specialists interview individuals to determine level of need and connect clients to appropriate supportive services by c ompleting client assessments and entering and reviewing daily data and output originating through case management. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, $18.42 per hour. 9420 W Florissant Ave Ferguson, MO Essential Functions Intake & Assessments Provide triage to walk-in clients when they arrive to assess the general purpose of their visit and match them with the appropriate services based upon need. Completing initial client intake assessments for Pathways program assign new clients to appropriate intervention teams and arrange scheduling of first appointment. Responsible for all intake, enrollment, and attendance for Spark Academy Refer clients to alternative and/or additional internal or external services if necessary. Maintain in-depth knowledge of referrals resources and ensure resources are adequate and up to date. Participate, as needed, in outreach in community to engage clients and educate the community about how to refer clients for walk-in or phone assistance. Participate in all mandated TSA training Coordinate with SPARK Academy Program Manager and Lead Case Manager to ensure active enrollment. Documentation & Reporting Perform data processing duties necessary to support case management database and provide reports internally and externally; Ensure accurate and complete client information is entered into SIMS and HMIS Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for United Way, the Pathways Programs, ESS, Spark Academy, Stats, and other entities to be submitted to Director of Operations or as requested by Divisional Head Quarters in a timely manner. Office Reception Respond to all phone calls and walk-Ins at FCEC and direct SPARK mates to the appropriate area. Ensure phone calls from individuals seeking services are returned within 48 hours or are referred to appropriate individual. Maintain front office area (information table, desk, waiting space) Ensure all calendar events and invites are documented on shared calendar. Manage client assistance inventory and office supplies. Receive and distribute all incoming mail and packages related to Ferguson Community Empowerment Center. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent with data management training and two years' experience in data entry. Combination of training and experience will be considered. Requires strong computer skills with knowledge and experience working in software applications to include databases, word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail. Must have good written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate good time management skills. Being a self-starter in work performance and well organized in task prioritized is a plus. Attention to details is required. Physical and Working Conditions Capable of performing the above essential duties in an office environment to include using a computer, answering phones, etc. Capable of occasionally lifting 20 pounds.
