Patient Intake Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a New Patient Intake Specialist. This is a full-time position that requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:- Schedule potential patients for mental health treatment at St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute (SLBMI)
- Collect demographic and basic information via phone and email to provide an appointment that meets the patient's needs
- Work independently and implement time management strategies to meet productivity goals
- Communicate effectively with patients, referral sources, insurance companies, and colleagues
- Maintain organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, with strong consideration for candidates with a Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or closely related field
- One year of experience with intake screenings or customer service telephone etiquette
- Proficient in use of email, internet, and phones
- Excellent communication and screening skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
