The Senior Accounting Analyst performs essential accounting functions for the organization including processing payroll, creating and maintaining budgets, maintaining subsidiary accounts, preparing and posting journal entries, account reconciliation and analysis, preparing financial statements and reports, and maintaining backup documentation. This position may provide back-up for designated functions of both the Assistant Director of Accounting and Finance and the Chief Financial Officer. Responsibilities for this position include providing training to other members of the accounting staff, responding to accounting related inquiries from members of management and others, and providing backup for other accounting positions as required. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business. 5+ years solid accounting experience utilizing automated accounting system. Experience with processing payroll and/or budgeting. Strong technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of accounting standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations. Experience using Great Plains or Microsoft Dynamics GP software.
