Patient Services Representative - PSS - OutpatientCareerStaff Unlimited is hiring a qualified Patient Services Specialist for a full-time, 13-week contract position with one of our most valued clients in Venice, FL Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 1 year of recent experience working the front desk in a medical setting and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment assisting a high volume of patients on a daily basis. Responsibilities for this Patient Services Representative opportunity include, but are not limited to:Answer all phone calls in a calm, courteous, and professional mannerIdentify and handle patient needs, while working in a team environmentCollect and update new patient's demographic and insurance information; verify and update established patient's demographic and insurance informationSchedule patient appointments accurately in EMR system according to established policies and proceduresSubmit patient messages through EMR system for prescription refills, medical questions, referrals, form requests or lab/test results, according to established policies and proceduresSchedule appointment requests from the patient portal and process return mail in EMR systemSubmit appropriate and detailed documentation for patient appointments and patient cases in EMR systemMaintain awareness of changes/updates by attending departmental meetings as requiredVerifying patient insuranceResponsible for meeting or exceeding the productivity and quality standardsJOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PSS POSITION:Minimum of 1 year of recent medical front office experience -applicants with no medical front office experience will not be considered HS Diploma or GED required Background check and 10-panel drug screen with nicotine included Must be eligible to work in the United StatesCareerStaff is proud to be a six-time Great Place to Work™ and Diversity for Social Impact™ certified source of healthcare careers.
