for the Newark, NJ office(hybrid)

Job responsibilities will include :

Develop an in-depth understanding of accounting and corporate finance Support critical relationships with internal and external business partners Deliver complex projects from initiation through delivery Streamline program delivery across accounting by standardizing project communications, execution and documentation, ensuring consistent, scalable global processes Gather requirements from appropriate process owners, writes clear and detailed functional specifications, prioritizes features and drives technical scoping as needed Drive continuous process improvement by collaborating with stakeholders on design of new solutions that enhance business performance and achieve established goals Ensure consistent and efficient execution of all functions across accounting by working closely with internal business partners and stakeholders to drive adoption and implementation of global standards, processes and programs Identify and evaluate potential risks/obstacles with minimal direction. Determines appropriate corrective action

Basic Qualifications

Operational Accounting Experience specifically team members that have been responsible for closing the financial books Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams Experience managing accounting process improvement and/or technology projects with aggressive schedules Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related financial field, or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or Accounting certification (CMA or CPA) PMP Certification Someone with experience with Big 4 audit Deloitte, PwC, Ernst & Young and KPMG Experience supporting accounting customers to set and effectively manage expectations, project deliverables, and drive resolution when conflicts or issues arise. Experience in accounting projects, including requirement gathering and testing in environments with distributed systems Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills Experience working in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up Proven ability to influence and make an impact Excellent analytical skills
