Requirements of the

Accounts Payable Manager: Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or business preferred. 5 or more years of work experience in Accounting that includes detailed work in Accounts Payable activities. Prior experience in staff supervision. Exposure to the construction industry is a major plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Technical skills with MS Office Suite (Excel) and a large ERP system needed.

Duties of the

Accounts Payable Manager: Hire, supervise, train, delegate, motivate and evaluate Accounts Payable staff. Ensure Accounts Payable processes and procedures are in place and being followed correctly. Develop continuous improvements for the A/P area. Facilitate the credit approval process, complete and review credit applications. Setup new vendors in the system. Oversee the processing of all vendor and subcontractor invoices in a timely and accurate manner. Gain approval for subcontractor invoices. Review submitted AIA documentation and assessing for completeness. Request missing or additional information needed to approve invoices for payment. Process checks requests for payments. Gain approval from Treasury to release payments. Perform payment runs. Distribute payments via check, ACH, wire, etc. Manage the company credit cards. Reconcile expense reports. Ensure vendor or subcontractor questions are answered. Provide support for escalated issues. Manage the Accounts Payable month end close activities such as generating journal entries and reconciling account balances. Main point of contact with internal team for Accounts Payable related matters.
