Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Associate is mainly responsible for ensuring that vendor invoices are recorded properly and vendors are paid in a timely manner.
Sorts and attaches packing lists to invoices.
Enters invoices in computer using the netsuite software system.
Sorts and distributes mail.
Performs financial calculations, such as amounts due, interest charges, balances, discounts, equity, and principal.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
Files vendor invoices and checks registers.
Interacts with vendors via phone or e-mail to provide payment information and resolve disputes.
Issues checks and mail checks according to set schedule.
Tracks held checks and prepares weekly check runs.
Researches and resolves price issues and receiving errors.
Assists various departments with invoice research to resolve problems.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High school degree or equivalent required.
College Degree in Accounting or related discipline is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years experience in an Accounts Payable role/function.
