Description

Assist in leading the Accounting Team in the company's accounting and financial reporting functions. Secures financial operations by monitoring and approving financial processing and reporting; supervising staff as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Meets accounting operational standards by contribution financial information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
  • Drives process improvement and automation.
  • Review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Review of journal entries
  • Meets accounting financial standards by providing accounting department annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Review monthly financial and various detailed analyses
  • Assists with financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements
  • Required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned to meet business needs
  • Support budgeting and forecasting efforts
  • Oversee accounting team
  • Regular attendance as required
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar field of study
Experience:
  • 2+ years previous leadership experience
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel and Word
  • 4+ years' experience in all aspects of accounting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:
  • CPA
Experience:
  • Public accounting experience
  • Internal audit experience
Skills/Abilities:
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
