University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 180 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.

Responsibilities:

Univesity Radiology is looking for a full-time Intergration and Reporting Engineer Level 1 for our East Brunsiwck, NJ Business Office.

Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

Overview:

The position supports and maintains integration of all University Radiology systems. The incumbent is responsible for the integration between different types of software, organizational procedures and databases systems supported by the RIS dept. Integration engineers will also create thorough documentation for the process they implement to ensure that others can correctly interpret it. The engineer will require considerable and detailed amount of communications with organization clients. The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day maintenance and support, data integrity, error mitigation as well as helpdesk support. The incumbent is also responsible for establishing relationships w/ and supporting clinical staff and vendors.

  • Create and maintain integration for our RIS Dept software.
  • Determining that the outcome of the integration has met the organization needs.
  • Using software tools to integrate and implement integration across the organization including and not limited to Corepoint, MS SQL, R-Tag, Montage, DigitalOne.
  • Define integration strategies and methods and then plan them in accordance with established deadlines and time schedules.
  • Assist w/ the Help Desk issues as it relates to clinical integration request/incidents.
  • Creating and providing technical documentation that explains upcoming or existing integrations to non-technical individuals.
  • Interacts with internal and external clients to resolve integration issues; radiology system application support; communicates with internal and external clients in a professional manner maintaining confidentiality.
  • Provides responses to clients in a timely manner.
  • Perform other relevant duties as identified that support the RIS dept.
  • Understands the professional development process and becomes actively involved by setting challenging goals and meeting them through continuous learning.
  • Pro-actively seeks input from mentors and supervisors.
  • Actively applies feedback received to day-to-day work and strives to improve performance.
  • Listens to others and readily accepts orders from supervisors and input from team members.
Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent working experience
  • Working knowledge of Radiology operations and systems
  • Working knowledge of coding and clinical verbiage
  • Familiarity and working knowledge in the Healthcare IT field
  • Approaches problems with a can do attitude
  • Clearly articulate ideas and thoughts verbally
  • Accurately prepares written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective and professional
