SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGERSOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN - LEAR WORLD HEADQUARTERS Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Senior Account Manager will focus on commercial management for existing programs to maintain/grow profitability and the lead for new quote activities to drive profitable sales growth in key E-Systems technology areas for regional customers. Activities include, but are not limited to: Ability to commercially manage programs after award, with heavy involvement with OEM purchasing and engineering.Tracking and managing POs, product pricing, and billing/payment issuesMaintaining and tracking program financials and improving program profitabilityExtensive customer interface for commercial price negotiationsWorking with OEM or tier 1 purchasing, engineering, program teams, and manufacturingWorking with the OEM computer systemsManaging quotes for engineering changesSupporting new product quote activities, both internally and as the customer interfaceWork on a global basis, with global locations, and in global time zonesPrepares analysis/executive summaries for business cases with recommendations for management. Must haves:Undergraduate degree (preferably in a technical discipline)At least 5 years sales experience as an account manager or technical sales engineer in the automotive industry.Excellent presentation and interpersonal skillsTeam playerWorking knowledge of electronicsHeavy GM experience required.
