Principle areas of responsibility include:
Establish, build, and maintain rapport by delivering excellent customer service via phone and email directly with Business Office Managers and all team members.
Ability to perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: training over Business Office Manager responsibilities, cash receipt research/posting, private pay billing, and business office support for daily/monthly accounting processes and procedures in bank account reconciliation, A/R, A/P, Payroll and month-end closing.
Willingness to learn Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance, and other Commercial Payer and/or Third-Party insurance coverage.
Responsible for the development and implementation of core accounting procedures and operational controls for 30 SNF/AL/IL operations.
Participate in hiring and selection process of new Business Office Managers.
Create and conduct training needs assessments, and oversee the overall training functions of the Business Office Manager
Provide support to operational Department Supervisors/Managers in responding to ongoing financial training needs and
Admission processes, MDS functions, Payroll time capture, and Accounts Payable.
Proficient in implementing and interpreting the financial goals, objectives, policies, and procedures while demonstrating the Mission, Vision, and Values of Vetter Health Services/Vetter Senior Living.
Qualified candidates will be experienced and have a strong knowledge of accounting to include processing A/P, A/R, bank account reconciliation, payroll, and month-end closing. Experience in Long Term/Senior Care and with PointClickCare EMR software preferred but not required. Associates degree or equivalent work experience, knowledge of PC based applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word, and ability to travel out of town up to 75% of the time is required.
