We are looking to grow our Accounting Department by hiring a Financial Analyst. This individual will assist the CFO with financial modeling, asset/liability management, rate setting process, reviewing the annual budget as well as having the ability to work on various other projects when needed. Position Responsibilites:
  1. Analyzes complex financial data and extracts/defines relevant information; interprets data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.
  2. Reviews costs and performs cost benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs.
  3. Act as a financial consultant to department managers for purposes of financial analysis, reporting, and profitability.
  4. Assist CUSO with monthly reporting and accuracy.
  5. Evaluate data and perform various analyses and reporting for Executive Management. Ensures completeness and accuracy of reports.
  6. Assist CFO with various processes including month end closing, board reports, ALCO reports, and the annual budgeting process.
  7. Works with CFO to develop strategic financial goals and regulatory financial compliance.
  8. Assist CFO with preparation of quarterly Call Reports.
  9. Maintain an effective working relationship with management, employees, examiners, auditors, members, and others in relation to the credit union through effective communication.
  10. Assist in the preparation and reporting of branch and product profitability.
  11. Cross-trains on all accounting duties and assists others as needed.
  12. Assist with special projects, particulary new project implementations.


Qualifications

Education/ Certifications/ Licenses

A college degree.

Experience

Two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.

Interpersonal Skills

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
