Title:
Medical Front Desk
Hours:
M-F Day Shift, No Weekends
Pay:
$18-21/hour
Overview:
Your responsibilities will include:
Opening and closing the office, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
Collecting pre-files, which are records from referring offices of patients, and organizing them efficiently.
Identifying urgent cases based on the provided information timeline for visits.
Managing the check-in and check-out process for patients with efficiency and professionalism.
Handling appointment scheduling and confirming appointments with patients.
Collecting payments, including copays and self-payments, and ensuring accurate documentation.
Background/Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Prior experience with check-in and check-out procedures in a medical or similar setting is essential.
A pleasant phone demeanor and excellent communication skills are crucial for interacting with patients and colleagues.
Strong computer skills are necessary for managing scheduling systems, patient records, and payment processing.
While previous experience in eye care is not required, a willingness to learn and adapt in a specialized medical environment is essential.
