We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our Centralized Scheduling team, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient access to our healthcare services.
Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with patients, participants, and staff to schedule appointments and procedures.
- Perform clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration, including gathering demographic, insurance, and clinical information.
- Seek resources to resolve issues related to procedure scheduling, dates, and locations.
- Coordinate and communicate schedules to ensure efficient use of patient time and clinical resources.
- Assist with insurance pre-certification and authorization coordination.
- Provide counseling to patients and their representatives regarding pre-service requirements and instructions.
- High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
- Ability to navigate multiple systems in a remote environment.
- Experience with Athena, Epic, Dash, and Salesforce a plus.
