About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our Centralized Scheduling team, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient access to our healthcare services.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with patients, participants, and staff to schedule appointments and procedures.
  • Perform clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration, including gathering demographic, insurance, and clinical information.
  • Seek resources to resolve issues related to procedure scheduling, dates, and locations.
  • Coordinate and communicate schedules to ensure efficient use of patient time and clinical resources.
  • Assist with insurance pre-certification and authorization coordination.
  • Provide counseling to patients and their representatives regarding pre-service requirements and instructions.
Requirements
  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems in a remote environment.
  • Experience with Athena, Epic, Dash, and Salesforce a plus.
