Our client is currently seeking an HR Manager to join their team in Newark. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in HR and at least 2 years of experience in human resources. This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals looking to manage all HR functions as a team of 1.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the hiring process.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding and orientation programs, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Maintain employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and provide support on HR-related matters, such as benefits, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including conducting employee evaluations and providing feedback to managers.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Address employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Support HR initiatives and projects, such as employee engagement programs, diversity and inclusion efforts, and HR policy development.
  • Stay informed about HR laws and regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Manage other HR-related tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources.
  • Robust knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
