The Patient Registration Coordinator is responsible for greeting and registering patients, answering phones, collecting patient information, insurance details, completing medical record requests, and provides front office administrative support for the office. The Patient Registration Coordinator is the first person to greet the patients and will answer questions or provide general information. This position reports to the Director of Patient Support Services. Scan insurance cards, picture identification, and prior medical records. Process co-pays, procedure pre-payments, and past due balances. Schedule or reschedule patient appointments; promptly communicating schedule changes. Handle confidential information and patient medical records. Answer phone calls, take messages, and forward based on urgency. Monitor schedules, maintain patient flow and minimize wait times. Confirm ordered test results are in the EMR prior to a patient’s appointment. Contact patients missing “New Patient” paperwork, two days prior to their appointment. Mail patient information and education materials. Monitor incoming faxes and distribute them to appropriate staff/departments. Maintain lobby appearance, open the Care Center, and turn on equipment prior to opening. Ensure the building is locked and secured at close of business. Other duties as assigned. What You Bring: High School Diploma required. Associates degree or equivalent relevant work experience preferred. 2+ years’ experience in a professional work environment preferred. The salary range represents the national average compensation for this position. The base salary offered will vary based on location, experience, skills, and knowledge. The pay range does not reflect the total compensation package. Our rewards may include an annual bonus, flexible work arrangements, and many other region-specific benefits.
