We welcome all that share those values to apply. Film recreational activities, events, and program highlights at various town facilities, which run in accordance with the school year. While school is primarily in session, events, activities, and programs will run after school, evenings, and/or weekends. During breaks (summer, fall, and spring) activities and programs primarily run during the day. Additional special events will run primarily Friday – Sunday during evening hours. Conduct interviews with participants, instructors, and staff. Curate, edit, and construct high-quality video and image content, suitable for social media platforms. Collaborate with the Parks and Recreation Communications team to align video and image content with promotional strategies. Ensure adherence to branding guidelines and departmental objectives. Assist in creating and uploading content to the Parks and Recreation social media accounts in order to build the number of followers and engagement. Participate in brainstorming sessions for content creation and strategy development. Stay up to date with the latest trends in video creation and editing and digital content creation. Perform other duties as assigned or required. Minimum Qualifications: An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. All candidates must provide a resume and letter of intent to be considered for this position. A portfolio and/or samples of previous work may be requested during the interview/hiring process. Must be at least 18 years of age Education:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program, pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or a closely related field. Licenses and/or Certifications:

A valid Colorado Driver’s License What You’ll Get: Hands-on experience in social media marketing and content creation. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to listen to others and to work well as part of the team on scheduling and prioritizing what programs and/or events to shoot. Ability to work with fast-paced timelines and quick changes. Ability to be flexible and meet deadlines. Knowledge of and ability to post on various social media platforms, particularly on Instagram and Facebook, including tagging and sharing techniques. Ability to communicate effectively with others and take constructive feedback. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be well-spoken, friendly, and possess exceptional customer service skills. Ability to exercise consistent tact and courtesy in frequent public contact. Ability to physically access a variety of event sites, both indoors and out. Ability to make subjects comfortable in front of the camera/microphone and able to work with different division program specialists and coordinators to coordinate content creation schedules. Ability to stay up to date with industry trends and tools. Ability to handle diverse tasks while maintaining attention to detail for accuracy. Strong creativity, storytelling, and editing skills as it relates to content and marketing creation. Knowledge and understanding of pre- and post-production video techniques. Ability to follow both oral and written directions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, fellow employees, and the public. Physical Demands: Moderate to heavy physical work to include lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials up to 50 pounds. Ability to exert heavy physical effort and frequent performance of activities requiring a full range of body movement including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling/bending, crouching, crawling, and/or twisting. Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate tools and electrical equipment as well as for driving equipment and vehicles. Vision for reading, recording and interpreting information. Speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens. Ability to physically access a variety of event sites. Works both indoors and out, and withstands exposure to varying weather conditions. Equipment Used: This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the course of their employment.
