Business Development Associate

The Business Development Associate responsible for working closely with Advarra's Sales & Marketing teams to generate revenue by developing opportunities for Advarra Consulting. The ideal candidate are to; Introduce services to potential customers, build client relationships, obtain business from new clients, participate in trade shows and other business development functions will be.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Successfully complete Advarra Consulting training program
- Identify potential clients for Advarra Consulting services
- Make initial contact with potential clients to introduce Advarra Consulting's capabilities and services
- Manage the sales cycle for new clients
- Support Sales while performing mandatory tasks. This includes but not limited to:
Timely responsiveness and corresponding with prospective business
Gather client information
Communicating with management new development ideas
Gain new clients
- Complete performance goals set by Advarra Consulting management, this includes but not limited to:
Tracking and reporting of calls
Tracking of visits to potential clients
Generate revenue from new clients
- Successfully complete data entry into SalesForce to allow for tracking of above performance objectives
Job Requirement
Education
- Bachelors Degree (BS or BA) or combination of education and experience
Experience
- Sales experience preferred, but not required
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry preferred, but not required
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to become knowledgeable about clinical research in the Pharmaceutical Industry
- Working knowledge of Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Excellent communication skills in writing, speaking, listening
- Energetic, fearless attitude
- Able to prospect and qualify potential customers effectively
- Ability to travel (30%)
- Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary work station
- Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 10 Lbs.
- Learn and comprehend basic instructions
- Focus and attention to tasks and responsibilities
- Verbal communication; listening and understanding, responding and speaking
