About Our Client:

Addison Group is seeking a Procurement Specialist for our client, an international specialty insurance organization that provides innovative solutions for brokers, agents, and insurance carriers.

Job Description:

The Procurement Specialist will manage supplier relationships, lead sourcing activities, and negotiate contracts. This role involves working cross-functionally to identify process improvements and provide administrative support to the Procurement Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Vice President and Procurement Manager in all procurement activities.
  • Maintain the procurement inbox, assigning requests to appropriate team members.
  • Provide analytical support and lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes.
  • Develop scope of work and bid documents for RFPs with internal customers.
  • Conduct supplier proposals and negotiations.
  • Implement cost reduction initiatives and execute supplier performance management.
  • Draft and prepare contractual documents including Master Agreements, NDAs, and Statements of Work.
  • Maintain contracts database and run reports for executive leadership.
  • Verify and approve requisitions in Workday.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5 years of procurement experience.
  • Experience reading and understanding contracts.
  • Proficiency in Workday is highly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of contractual terms and conditions, intellectual property issues, and legal risks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, internal partners, and external vendors.
  • Ability to manage change, work under pressure, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines independently.
