What We Are Looking For:
Provide Information Technology (IT) Financial and Budgetary Support. This individual will work closely with the OCIO community on its end-to-end budgetary needs. This will include but not limited to planning, execution, and reporting. This is a client-facing engagement in a dynamic environment that requires the ability to interact, adjust, and continue to meet evolving demands.
  • Determine the feasibility of automating government financial business practices.
  • Support definition of government financial business practices and incorporate processes into an automated solution.
  • Assist in applying sound accounting and data processing principles.
  • Integrate government financial business practices.
  • Identify potential problems and solutions through analysis and recommends solutions.
  • Work with functional specialists, vendors, and customers to effectively automate requirements.
  • Apply applications, while adhering to established accounting principles and practices.
  • Assisting in planning and executing Agency budgetary resources, including assistance in establishing budget controls and budget loads into the Agency's financial system.
  • Support the reporting of IT Exhibit 53's and 300's
  • Administering and executing quarterly and annual commitment and obligation plans.
  • Assisting in developing reports and supporting budget execution reviews to monitor execution performance.
  • Working with the Agency team in developing mission and operational resource requirements. Supporting reviews and analyses to ensure that planned activities/milestones are realistic, properly costed, and consistent with program objectives and the Agency's investment strategy.
  • Assisting in establishing projections for, and monitor execution of, funds received from all sources. Supporting financial analysis and execution reports as required to meet customer and management needs.
  • Providing input to the formulation and justification of assigned programs for the POM, BES and President's Budget exhibits.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience providing IT Budgetary services to IT management and technical staff in a federal IT organization.
  • Proficient skills and capabilities in Microsoft Office suite of applications/tools - especially MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS SharePoint.
  • Familiarity and some experience utilizing ServiceNow, PowerBI, and Tableau.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and leadership skills.
Preferred:
  • 2 years of experience providing IT Budgetary services in a Federal OCIO
  • Bachelor's Degree
