Stand Together is seeking an Accounting Manager, Compliance to join our dynamic team based in Arlington, VA. This role will take charge of electoral compliance filings, serving as a pillar of support for the Americans for Prosperity team during a monumental year of action. The responsibilities will include meticulous submission of filings to the FEC and state agencies, while also spearheading advancements in process efficiency and the introduction of innovative products. We're seeking individuals with a robust accounting background and a proven history of success in electoral compliance or other politically charged endeavors. Responsibilities

    • Manage a team of two or more team members to file accurate and timely electoral compliance reports
    • Track financial activity on a regular basis and take full ownership of tracking these mechanisms
    • Assist with entity-wide financial statement evaluation and preparation as it relates to compliance needs
    • Serve as a key player and subject matter expert in process improvements such as dashboard building and vendor bill enhancement during off-peak seasons
    • Reconcile electoral filings to the accounting system and to other sources
    • Other ad hoc accounting and compliance projects as needed
Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization
    • 5+ years of accounting, tax, or other accounting/compliance experience
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks simultaneously
    • Experience supervising a team
    • Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
    • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Attention to detail, particularly with populating reports/filings with financial data
Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Public accounting or other client-facing experience
    • Experience with electoral compliance, campaign finance, or other political activities
    • Exposure to a nonprofit and/or political organization's environment
    • Familiarity with Sage Intacct, CMDI/Crimson, or Concur systems
    • Interest in current events, particularly with respect to governmental & political news
