Compensation: $60-$68k Salary Based on Experience

Location: On-site Austin Texas (Full-time)

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for benefits under the Health and Welfare program offered by DaBella
  • Responsible for answering benefit-related questions, resolving issues related to access or the use of benefits, orienting newly eligible team members, and validating and processing enrollment as changes are needed
  • Administers employee insurance programs under the Health and Welfare umbrella from fully insured medical, ancillary coverages, supplemental coverage, and 401(k)
  • Prepare and communicate information to team members and former members about benefit programs, procedures, changes, and government-mandated disclosures and annual notices.
  • Benefit Admin System (Paycom) Super User responsible for configuration, file feeds, reporting, building out plans in the system, etc.
  • Acts as Health Care Compliance Specialist; staying abreast of Federal, State, and Local requirements and ensuring that DaBella is set up to remain in compliance.
  • Monitors administrators' and insurance carriers' reports to ensure the organization's compliance with plan requirements.
  • Serves as liaison between DaBella and the external auditor regarding 401(k) plan annual audit
  • Prepares and submits government-mandated reports such as Creditable Coverage Statement, Form 5500, WRAP documents, etc.
  • Audits benefit plans for compliance with government regulations and Health Care Reform
  • Assists in the annual renewal process and analysis of benefits experience for cost-control and risk-assessment factors available in the marketplace and partners with benefit brokers for viability checks.
  • Partners with Care Committee and executive leadership to develop and deploy wellness initiatives designed to reduce or maintain claims experience.
  • Works with the CHRO and benefits broker to negotiate and contract with benefit plan providers, vendors, auditors, and consultants for services, premiums, and plan administration.
  • Recommends and monitors budget allocations for employee benefits.
  • Consults with directors/managers and employees to evaluate the need for, develop, and implement accommodations, return-to-work, light-duty, and other responses for disabled employees.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in compensation and benefits administration.
Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in the benefits field
  • At least 2 years of experience in managing HRIS platforms and working knowledge of human resources disciplines/practices
  • Familiarity with state and federal mandates and regulations
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changes within the organization and execute actions with limited information
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
