Yardi is currently seeking a Systems Reliability Engineer I to join our System Reliability Team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the stability and optimizing the performance of our global cloud-hosted computer systems across various self-hosted and cloud-hosted data centers. Your responsibilities will include deploying software systems, utilizing various tools to monitor performance, gathering and analyzing data, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with teams to support infrastructure and deliver accurate and timely analysis data and system logging.

What You'll Do:

  • Respond to system availability and performance alerts.
  • Perform and troubleshoot deployments of software systems.
  • Configure and deploy new software and environments.
  • Use analysis data to review system performance issues and outages to aid in active troubleshooting and post outage analysis.
  • Proactively review and monitor client and product environments for potential performance issues.
  • Work and maintain relationships with various product development and Cloud teams.
  • Conduct performance analysis, cause contributor analysis, and monitoring against various systems including, Kubernetes, Windows, Linux, WAF systems, Microsoft IIS, Nginx, Docker, NetApp, SQL Server, MySQL, and Yardi developed software.
  • Consult on projects to improve system resilience.
  • Maintain documentation related to tools and environments.
  • Collaborate with Yardi teams and management to safeguard the integrity of all systems.

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer/Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One plus (1+) years of experience working with Kubernetes, Windows, or Linux environments.
  • One plus (1+) years of experience working within a software development or hosting environment as a Technical Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Software Engineer.
  • One plus (1+) years of experience troubleshooting and analyzing software systems.
  • Fundamental understanding of how web applications work and how to troubleshoot them.
  • Understanding of Windows and Linux performance indicators.
  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills.
  • Working knowledge of procedures for analysis and response to system outage or performance degradation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and system analysis skills.
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies and technical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Ideal to have:
  • One plus (1+) years of experience with Yardi developed software.
  • Experience using a VCS (Git, SVN, etc.).
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containers.
  • Experience working with APIs.
  • Experience working with IIS, or Nginx.
  • Experience working with MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle databases.
  • Experience working with data analysis tools such as Kibana or Grafana.
  • Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Comfortable with scripting in Powershell, bash, or Python.
  • Understanding of monitoring and analysis techniques.
  • Understanding of various networking protocols and topologies.
