Wrap Technologies is seeking an experienced Director of Operations and Facilities to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and running optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations. This role involves increasing production, asset capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards. The Director of Operations and Facilities will ensure production output, product quality, and on-time shipping, contributing to the overall success of our operations, production, sales fulfillment, and financial performance goals. Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence: Plan, organize, direct, and run day-to-day operations to meet and exceed production targets. Implement strategies to increase production, improve asset capacity, and enhance flexibility. Ensure adherence to quality standards and minimize unnecessary costs. Develop, implement and monitor operational systems and processes using business management software (ERP, CRM) Define and maintain adequate communication between departments, external partners, and suppliers to ensure operational effectiveness and adherence to strategic goals. Quality Assurance: Oversee production output, ensuring products meet quality standards and are shipped on time. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and enhance operational performance. Assume the role of the OPS governing body in CCB, ensuring acceptance and implementation of the product and process releases and updates. Staffing and Personnel: Manage and mentor a team of direct reports, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Make executive decisions on personnel and coordinate temporary line workers as manufacturing operations scale. Build and develop high-performing teams. Analyze, implement and monitor key performance metrics and tools to help hire, maintain and retain A-players. Strategic Planning: As a part of Leadership Team, help define Company’s Strategic Goals and ormulate strategic and operational objectives. Implement more efficient workflows and processes. Budget Management and Financials: Work closely with the Accounting team to monitor and track operational budgets, Purchase Orders (POs), and report on any variances to the budget. Implement cost control measures to maintain financial health and efficiency of operations. Provide financial input to the cost of goods sold across product lines. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations and policies. Enforce policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment. Leadership: Provide strong leadership, guidance, and support to the production team, encouraging professional growth and development. Help managers set goals, manage employees, and improve efficiency. Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Contribute to a positive work culture and demonstrate a good attitude. Supporting HR Initiatives: Support HR initiatives and communicate job expectations to staff. Manage conflict resolution and employee relations. Experienced in conflict resolution. Planning: Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to align production with customer demands and financial targets. Work with RD and NPI on New Product Releases and improvements to the existing products, equipment, and processes. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production efficiency, quality, and cost management. Data Analysis: Analyze data to make informed decisions and improve operational performance. Ensuring Safety: Ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Inventory Management: Assess, Improve, and Oversee inventory management to ensure efficient use of resources and materials. Decision-Making: Make informed and strategic decisions to drive operational success. Managing Strategic Partnerships: Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and reliability of supplied components. Support QA in the development and execution of the Quality Manuals and Component Inspection Plans. Performance Reviews: Assist in defining team members’ short-term, long-term, and personal performance goals. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff. Review Financial Statements: Review financial statements and reports to monitor the financial health of operations. Teamwork: Foster a collaborative team environment to achieve operational goals. Work well with the team and contribute to a positive work culture. Work Schedule: Required to be on-site daily, Monday through Friday. Support meetings via Zoom or other virtual conferencing tools as needed. Travel Employee may be required to travel to the corporate headquarters, vendors, suppliers, or other sites as necessary to support project activities with either the company or customers, or both. All company travel must be pre-approved in writing prior to any bookings or incurring of expenses. Approval must be sought via customer contacts. Travel expenses incurred without prior written approval will not be eligible for reimbursement. Travel will be reimbursed according to the company's travel policies. Qualifications Proven experience as a Plant Manager or similar managerial role in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. Demonstrated ability to achieve production targets, maintain quality standards, and optimize operational efficiency. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficient in using production management software and ERP systems, with a preference for experience in NetSuite. Experience in supply chain management, inventory control, and logistics (domestic and international). Background in electromechanical products assembly and quality control. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
