Collaborate with the ops manager/director to implement strategies and initiatives to meet operational and customer requirements. Utilize LEAN techniques, quality management and cost control to achieve company goals and sustain growth. Assign duties, monitor work completion, and ensure accuracy. Assess current practices, drive improvements, and develop associates through training and coaching. Maintain a safe work environment, resolve employee issues, and administer corrective actions. Oversee daily distribution and light manufacturing activities, addressing performance shortfalls and creating corrective action plans. Supervise staff according to company policies and laws. Exceed customer metrics (cost, quality, responsiveness) and lead start-up activities with cross-functional teams. Interact daily with internal and external customers. Schedule personnel to support all shifts and accounts, and organize staff workload. Maintain process documentation and train associates on policies and procedures. Ensure smooth operations, worker safety, and efficiency. Provide updates on quality, safety, delivery, cost, and morale to directors, managers, peers, and subordinates. Set production schedules and ensure daily quotas are met. Design product quality checklists and monitor compliance. Monitor metrics and KPIs for productivity and cost management. Partner with management and other departments to resolve issues. Maintain customer partnerships and respond to their needs. What you bring... Requirements: Experience in process improvement methodologies. Understanding of RF scanners and standardized processes. Knowledge of picking, receiving, and shipping processes. Excellent communication skills. Strong sense of urgency and drive to succeed. Integrity and ability to follow instructions. Flexibility and adaptability to sudden changes. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Desired skills in financial management, warehouse and transportation knowledge, safety, business management, strategic planning, project management, quality management, HR, computer skills, communication, P&L, and ERP/MRP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Cargowise). Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel. Qualifications: 5-8 years of managerial experience in logistics, warehousing, and distribution (education may substitute for experience). Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration or industrial management/engineering. Intermediate math and writing skills. Advanced computer skills (MRP preferred). 3-5 years of experience in logistics or related industry. Knowledge of handheld RF equipment and forklift certification (sit-down & stand-up) are plusses.
