Come for a walk with us today We are currently seeking a Customer Business Manager to join our Food, Drug, Mass, Club channel team. Reporting to the Director of FDMC, our CBM will serve as the primary business owner to lead account management, business development, and will be responsible for driving the successful execution of our programs with these strategic accounts. This individual will leverage consistent and best-in-class execution of MAPPS (Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing, Promotion, and Space) to both manage today’s book of business as well as to open the door for conversations about future expansion opportunities. What You’ll Accomplish Be accountable for sales performance vs. plan (AOP delivery), revenue, and margin targets for assigned accounts and assigned categories. Work closely with our brand team to identify whitespace opportunities and to develop annual plans to address opportunity. Manage and own the account P&L; demonstrate your ability to determine optimal spend levels required to efficiently drive sales and negotiate performance for all funding support. Define and communicate customer requests to the organization – be the voice of customer to the organization. Create and implement new item launch plans to grow the account business. Management of trade funds, including ROI analysis. Be a thought leader and subject matter expert within Wellness Pet as THE category resource by communicating crucial market, trade, and competitive information on a timely basis. Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional team members including but not limited to marketing, logistics, planning, customer service and other members of the field sales team. Help elevate our relationship with assigned accounts to strategic business partnerships. This position is ideal for an experienced CPG sales professional who is passionate about the premium natural pet category and who is a business builder. Ideally, this individual will be based in the greater-Boston area and will possess: A bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of proven success and progression within the sales function in the CPG industry. Strong Negotiation skills- Ability to influence, convince and persuade. Demonstrated success driving account-level growth through innovation and smart risk-taking. Proven analytical skills; regularly uses syndicated data to develop selling stories. Works closely with demand planners to manage forecasts and production timelines. Possesses a full understanding of how to manage an account-level P&L, and how to manage spend within guardrails defined by our revenue management platforms. Has joint business planning experience with a large retailer. Solid analytical capabilities and a structured approach to problem-solving.
