**Regional Sales Manager**
Sales Dallas, Texas Minimum Experience **Mid-level** The Role:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for proactively seeking out and closing new business to meet territory sales targets. This is done by maintaining a strong and consistent presence in the market, getting in front of people, devouring leads, building relationships, and asking for the sale. This is a true sales hunter role.
What You Will Do:
* Prospect new accounts, generate interest, qualify, develop, and close new business.
* Grow sales opportunities generated from marketing activities, market research, and networking.
* Respond within hours to incoming leads qualified by a Sales Development Representative.
* Work independently to meet and exceed revenue targets and goals assigned to the territory.
* Utilize team members to achieve goals. The team will include prequal Sales Development Reps, technical sales engineers, other reps, and corporate management.
* Operate independently and effectively manage the sales cycle from opportunity identification through close. Reduce the sales cycle as much as possible.
* Provide accurate monthly sales opportunity pipelines.
* Work with clients to create corporate proposals that include software licenses, software maintenance, and software training - all tailored to the client's particular needs.
* Learn client needs and budget. Upsell clients to the best solution for their needs.
* Participate in, and help arrange software roadshows, conferences, chapter events, and other similar marketing events.
* The job is 30% travel, not including local client visits.
What You Need To Get The Job Done:
* Three or more years experience with an exceptional track record of selling software solutions to corporate clients. Established relationships are a big plus.
* Possess excellent communication/presentation skills and the ability to interact with all levels within customer and partner organizations.
* Exceptional selling, negotiating, prospecting, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and adequately communicate progress back to management.
* Strong Excel skills, and an understanding of basic financial models.
* Experience using Salesforce or other CRM systems.
