A day in the life of the Senior Accountant at Colleton River Club: The Senior Accountant is responsible for working with the Finance team to support the fiscal functions of the Club. This position ensures accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger; maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. How to know if you are the individual for this career opportunity? You are willing and able to: Analyze and record revenue, expense, and other financial transactions. Perform subsidiary and general ledger reconciliations. Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Participate in the budgeting process under the supervision of the Controller and other Finance Department leadership. Provide analytic support by preparing financial reports and data, as needed. Contribute to projects and external audits as needed and directed by the CFO and other Finance Department leadership. As a leader, you will: Supervise and guide junior-level accountants. Participate in the annual performance review process for junior-level accountants. Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. 5-7 years of accounting experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a club, hospitality or real estate management/development environment. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel as well as accounting software applications. Experience with Jonas operating software a plus Proven ability to understand and articulate business needs. Must be a strategic thinker with the ability to define end results. Must have experience achieving results using creative and critical thinking. Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders. Thrives in a team environment. Thorough understanding of and ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and interpersonal. Demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands.
