At Citizens National Bank, we pride ourselves on our team of highly skilled professionals in the financial services sector, creating a robust and secure community banking environment.
We are currently seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our Bluffton team. In this capacity, you will undertake a range of accounting responsibilities with precision and within designated timelines. You will support the CFO by delivering financial insights regarding organizational activities, aiding management and various stakeholders in making informed economic decisions regarding the institution's financial health and prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cash position assessments, month-end reconciliations, and journal entry preparations.
- Perform thorough analysis of general ledger accounts.
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management review.
- Engage in diverse special projects and generate various analytical reports.
- Oversee corrections related to loan payments for the institution.
- Manage the daily liquidity operations of the bank.
- Ensure compliance of accounting practices with generally accepted accounting principles.
- This role necessitates a physical presence for effective performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline. Previous accounting experience is advantageous.
Additional Skills:
- Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business publications, professional journals, technical guidelines, or regulatory documents.
- Capable of drafting reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation.
- Adept at presenting information and addressing inquiries from groups of managers, clients, and the public.
- Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to real-world scenarios.
- Skilled in problem-solving, data collection, fact establishment, and conclusion drawing.
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities are essential.
