Property Accountant Level II See below for more details, Description – Full-charge responsibility for entity financial statements including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Ability to manage cash and accrual ledgers. Analytically review financial statements for material variances. Ability to research and resolve issues with colleagues, customers, and vendors. Process accounts payable including entering invoices, cutting checks, and review for proper authorization. Reconcile bank statements. Process 1099s at year-end. Prepare journal entries with a solid understanding of debits and credits, accrual and cash, and an understanding of GAAP accounting. Able to research banking issues. Reviews general ledger accounts and corrects journal entries. Special projects as assigned, including but not limited to: processing lender reserve requests, audit fieldwork, year-end and tax adjustment entries. Requirements – Minimum four-year degree in business or accounting; or two-year degree in business or accounting and two years accounting experience; or high school diploma and five years accounting experience. Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills. Solid understanding of accounting concepts and terminology. Self-starter and problem-solver. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Must have a focus on self-review prior to submitting completed projects. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to meet deadlines. Proficient with MS Word and Excel. Familiar with real estate management a plus. Experience with Yardi Voyager and Entrata. Ability to handle complex reporting requirements for clients. If this describes you, then we have a great opportunity for you.
