Provide data support by inputting event attendance and other engagement data into systems such as PCO and Cvent, and exporting data from systems such as Zoom, Wistia, and CrimsonConstellation. Monitor the Alumni Career & Professional Development email inbox, responding to common inquiries (e.g., service overview, PCO account assistance), assigning resume reviews to volunteer coaches, and delegating other emails for response from the Assistant Director or Director. Manage the DU Alumni LinkedIn group, including approving member requests and posting content to promote Alumni Career & Professional Development programming. As part of ongoing process improvement, assist the Director with updating standard operating procedures for functions listed above. For students hired at Level II (Program Assistant II) , all above functions as well as the opportunity to: Answer common job search questions over email and/or in response to voicemails. Review alumni resumes to provide feedback and suggest improvements. Develop new materials to support alumni job seekers (e.g., sample resumes, original blog content with job search advice). Co-facilitate alumni programming with the Assistant Director or Director, such as Job Club or Job Seekers’ Circle. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Interest in event planning, marketing, communications, career development, psychology, counseling, workforce services, organizational development, human resources, social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), or higher education. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and interpersonal) with alumni, employers, and staff. Discretion in working with sensitive or personal information. Attention to detail in reviewing complex information. Demonstrated dependability and follow through with tasks and assignments. Required Qualifications Current DU undergraduate or graduate student enrolled for the 2024-2025 academic year. Prior experience with customer service, coaching/counseling (including peer coaching/counseling), tutoring, peer education, group facilitation, or similar interpersonal communication skills. Prior experience does not have to have been paid work; student organizations, volunteering, and other experience counts. Preferred Qualifications Interest in or experience with program planning or event management. Interest in or experience with marketing and communications, which may include: website management and/or social media management, particularly WordPress and LinkedIn; video editing; audio transcription; blog writing and/or editing; and/or other related communications skills. Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with quickly learning and adapting to new software. Demonstrated attention to detail. Physical Activities Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period. Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs. Work Schedule We are flexible with work hours, but we have a preference for a commitment of 8 to 15 hours per week with significant availability during peak business hours (9:00am to 5:00pm). Depending on mutual needs, some work outside business hours may be permitted. Benefits & Compensation This position requires a federal work-study award through the Financial Aid Office. Students will be paid $19/hr.
