Job Purpose: We are seeking an HR Manager with a strong background in human resources, particularly in government contracting environments, and a solid knowledge base in IT. The successful candidate will play a key role in talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and HR strategy, ensuring our company meets both its HR and government contract obligations. This position requires someone who is people-oriented, results-driven, and adept at navigating the complexities of HR in a fast-paced, government contracting setting. Position located at one of our office locations: Honolulu, HI/Las Vegas, NV/San Antonio, TX. No Remote Work Duties and Responsibilities: Developing and executing an ongoing recruitment strategy that provides a reliable pipeline of talent for government contracts. Overseeing recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of new staff, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and company needs. Planning and managing employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, vacation, and other perks. Ensuring competitive compensation structures and managing compliance with compensation-related regulations. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and company policies, including those mandated by government contracts (e.g., FAR, SCA, DBA, Affirmative Action, E-Verify, VEVRAA, VETS-4212). Ensuring ongoing compliance with government-mandated policies such as NLRB, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, EEO, and overseeing reporting requirements like EEO-1. Coordinating with the Facility Security Officer (FSO) regarding security clearance requirements and managing employee eligibility verifications (E-Verify, background checks, drug screenings, etc.). Managing and overseeing training and development programs, ensuring employees are well-equipped to meet contract and company requirements. Establishing and conducting employee orientation programs to ensure effective onboarding. Managing disciplinary actions and handling terminations as necessary. Advising managers on key HR issues such as equal employment opportunity, sexual harassment, and employee relations. Maintaining and fostering a positive company culture to strengthen the employer-employee relationship. Keeping abreast of changes in labor laws, HR best practices, and industry trends to ensure compliance and competitive advantage. Maintaining confidential personnel files and HR documentation, ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance with data protection regulations. Minimum Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field. Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive role. People-oriented and results-driven. Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics. Minimum of 3-5 years in HR generalist role. Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills. Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills. In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices. Extensive knowledge and proficiency with Adobe applications (Acrobat Pro) and Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Qualifications: Previous experience working in a government contracting environment is highly preferred. SHRM-CP or HRCI PHR preferred.
