The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day activities of the accounting department to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and corporate policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full accuracy of the financial ledgers on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, with full ownership and the lead on the monthly book close process.
  • Primary lead for all internal audit requirements to the extent these relate to finance and accounting.
  • Responsible for cash management, including performing wire transfers, ACH payments, daily cash report, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare State Sales & Use Taxes: quarterly; semi-annually; or annually where applicable.
  • Maintain files and comply with record retention requirements.
  • Prepare monthly bank covenant package.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent
  • Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • 5 years+ relevant accounting experience
  • Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication, written and verbal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with QuickBooks a plus

Focus Area- Month end close, general ledger, and financial statements.
