Description

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated, apprentice-level welder to join our company as a Welding Fabricator. As part of our team of professional fabricators, you construct and manufacture metal parts and products, taking particular care to produce clean, polished welds. You follow blueprints, determine material measurements, and take responsibility for fabricating parts used in later assembly processes. You are responsible for the quality of your output, so you must be able to perform simple tests to ensure weld quality and tolerance.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Fabricate metal components and structures according to project specifications and blueprints.
  • Perform welding tasks such as MIG, TIG, stick and aluminum welding, ensuring strong and accurate welds.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine the layout and specifications for each project.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure the quality and accuracy of welded components, making necessary adjustments as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize work and meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Some travel is required.

Education/Experience
  • 0-2 years of welding and fabrication experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in the construction or manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong knowledge of various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, stick, and aluminum welding.
  • Ability to operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
Work Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

  • Must possess sufficient strength to continuously operate equipment controls and tools weighing up to 20 pounds for uninterrupted periods of up to 4 hours.
  • Skeletal, joint and muscle system must withstand continuous impact from driving activities.
