Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profits and losses, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Performs general accounting and other related duties for the organization. * Assists in preparing monthly financials statements: balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements. * Maintains and reconciles the supporting amortization schedules for Fixed Assets, Goodwill, Prepaid Expenses, and ROU assets. Responsible for developing and recording recurring journal entries. * Maintains and reconciles the supporting schedules for AP and Accrued Expenses. Responsible for developing and recording monthly journal entries. * Supports the AP Specialist by verifying and/or completing payment of invoices through the AP process and ensuring invoices are charged to the appropriate accounts. * Manages company credit card transactions and responsible for accurately recording expenses. * Manages employee expenses and works with payroll on timely reimbursements. * Tracks and manages renewals of internally used software. * Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit. * Upholds company policies by following accepted practices and procedures. * Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting. * Advanced excel skills and practical experience. * Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles. * Experience with ConnectWise and Business Central preferred. * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software. * Ability to adhere to the EST workday schedule. * Ability to work proactively, independently, or as part of a team.

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree - Accounting, or related field required. * At least three years of related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

* Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
