Demonstration of strong analytical and technical skills, as well as ability to work effectively in a team environment, including interaction with senior management and collaboration with peers in a wide range of functional areas within the Company, are essential to success in this role. ► Key Areas of Responsibility Reports cost information to production department managers for use in controlling expenses. Complete assigned tasks as regular part of month end closing process in accordance with month end closing schedule. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries documenting business transactions related to each month-end close. Participate in preparation of monthly financial packages, tax packages, year-end audit/annual report, and any additional reporting/analytical reviews requested by management. Maintain reconciliations for balance sheet accounts. Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications ► Key Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree accounting is required At least 1 year of experience in general ledger and financial statement reporting is preferred. Must be detail oriented with strong analytical skills This position requires daily use of an accounting software package for a medium size company. Previous experience with this type of software is preferred Must be proficient MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Excellent oral, interpersonal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and other employees Ability to work in a collaborative and participative, team-oriented environment, working with clients (both internal and external), all employees, and others in a professional manner Ability to embody and reflect Vestcom’s core values
