The Chapel Hill Country Club has a rare opportunity for a staff accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate is a staff accountant with a mininum of three years' accounting experience, private club experience is a plus, but not required. If you have a strong degree of attention to detail, comprehensive knowledge of A/P, A/R, payroll, bank reconcilliations, payroll/employee Federal and State reporting, and outstanding written and oral communication skills, we encourage you to apply and explore this opportunity. There may be occasional weekend work.
This person will be responsible for all aspects of the accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions of the Club, as well as the recording and posting of daily financial transactions. The successful candidate will act as a liason between members/gustes and Club regarding billing and general membership inquiries, so an "I've got this" attitude is essential - you can juggle multiple competing priorities without getting flustered.
Finally, YOU have a strong desire to provide exceptional service and experience to Members. Here at the CHCC, there is no such thing as a "no" or "we cannot do that," you need to be a creative problem-solver to be successful in this role.
If you are selected to move forward in the process, the hiring manager will reach out to have an initial phone call. The next step would be to come onsite to meet a small team to provide an opportunity to learn more about our Club, our culture, and our team. Finally, if selected for the final step, you will meet with our General Manager to have the opportunity to engage with senior leadership. We anticipate this full process will be completed early August.
