We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAP Applications Manager - Logistics to join our dynamic team.

As the Application Manager at Samsonite, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of business-critical applications.

This role demands a skilled IT professional with a proven track record in application management, system integration, and ensuring the optimal performance of IT solutions.

Predominant responsibilities revolve around team management, application support, configuration and customization, documentation and collaborating with end users and stakeholders.

You will work on-site 4 days per week with the option to work remotely one day per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of SAP logistics solutions, including system configuration, customization, and integration with other SAP modules.
  • Manage a team of SAP analysts, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business partners to gather and analyze requirements related to logistics operations.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for SAP logistics configurations and enhancements.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of logistics processes with other business processes within the SAP environment.
  • Oversee the configuration of SAP logistics modules to support procurement, inventory management, warehouse management, transportation, and sales distribution according to business requirements.
  • Implement custom solutions and enhancements to address specific business needs within the logistics landscape.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within SAP logistics modules.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP logistics configurations, processes, and customizations.
  • Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth transitions for end-users following system changes or enhancements.
  • Communicate changes effectively and provide training and support to promote user adoption.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to understand business needs, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integrated business processes and solutions. Manage relationships with external vendors and partners involved in the development and support of applications.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts for software and services.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in application functionality, user experience, and overall efficiency.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in SAP logistics modules (MM, WM, SD, LE).
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role overseeing SAP implementation and support teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP logistics functionalities, configurations, and integration with other SAP modules.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with environments that are hands-on, lean, and involve multiple concurrent projects with fluid priorities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with SAP AFS (Apparel and Footwear Solution) and FMS(Fashion Management Solution) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA is highly desirable.
  • Project management experience is required.
  • SAP certifications in logistics modules (MM, WM, SD, LE) are a plus.
