What youll be doing You will be responsible for sales and account management of Verizon Partner Solutions (VPS) client accounts, specifically selling to the highly competitive carriers in the wholesale voice market. Handling all sales and account management activities for assigned customers, including pre and post-sales activities and day-to-day sales and account management. Youll use your drive and expertise to develop and deliver our solutions that wont just satisfy our clients, but delight them. Because here, we make it easy for customers to do business with us, by listening, anticipating, and responding to their needs. Completing account planning, including development of account profiles and account positioning strategy; customer needs analysis; sales opportunity development; preparation of service improvement plans; and creation of long-range account management strategies. Conducting proactive sales activities, including proactive needs assessment, applications development, proposal presentation, order negotiation and post-sales service requirements. Managing accounts on an on-going basis. This includes frequent service follow-ups, problem solving, and emerging needs identification. Collaborating with internal cross functional partners to achieve revenue growth and retention. Growing market awareness of our client through involvement in trade and commercial organizations. Remaining knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes in the telecommunications industry through attendance of training, seminars and trade journals. Responding to requests from customers for information, support, joint proposals, and pricing. Location is flexible to main VBG hubs within the US (please see posted locations). What were looking for Youre the type of person who sees the big picture and looks to make the largest impact possible. Youre comfortable working and communicating with all types of people, and they listen to youand you know how to translate the benefits of technology into easy to understand business language. You have an intense drive to succeed, and help others around you to be at their best as well. You know your success depends upon your clients success. Youll need to have: Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training. Wholesale legacy voice sales experience. Large account management experience. Willingness to travel. Even better if you have one or more of the following: Experience building a base of business. Strong negotiation and executive selling skills. Sold complex technical solutions and/or systems integration sales. Ideally, strategic solutions. Met challenging sales goals. Managed multiple projects and deals under tight timelines. Cultivated strong trusting customer relationships at executive levels. Experience as a telecom sales representative. Knowledge of basic network design, operational understanding of telecommunications ordering, and provisioning and billing processes. If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $116,000.00 and $215,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is a commission based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
