Talascend is currently seeking a Civil Engineer for an opportunity in Irvine, CA

SUMMARY:

Client is seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer II with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our team in Irvine, CA. This role offers an exciting opportunity for career growth and mentorship as you pursue your Professional Engineer (PE) license. As an Engineer II, you will primarily be responsible for assisting with design work and project management tasks under the guidance of experienced professionals. This position will involve preparing complete design deliverables, plans, specifications, and estimates, primarily focused on Civil on rail infrastructure projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to develop design concepts and project plans.
  • Prepare and review engineering, plans, specifications, and estimates using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Bluebeam.
  • Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Conduct field inspections and surveys to gather data and assess project requirements.
  • Support the procurement process by preparing bid documents and evaluating contractor proposals.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to project teams as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA'S):
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering or related field, preferably with exposure to rail or civil infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD and MicroStation software.
  • Knowledge in quantity take offs and Bluebeam software.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, construction techniques, and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation software.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering or related field.

CERTIFICATION CATEGORIES:

Pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
