This role supports the Director of Human Resources with all aspects of HR including, but not limited to, the maintenance, and monitoring of major areas: Onboarding, Benefits, Compliance with Labor laws, Off-boarding and Administrative Responsibilities.

Compensation:

  • Salary starting at $58k, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Manages human resources information system documents.
  • Maintains employee personnel records and the HR filing system.
  • Handles all administrative tasks for onboarding, employment verification, off-boarding, and benefits including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Distributes internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
  • Coordinates open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Answers questions from employees about HR topics like leave, compensation, and benefits.
  • Preparation of various reports as needed for internal purposes and outside agencies.
  • Participates in seminars and other meetings.
  • Keeps up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
  • Travel to various sites
  • Safety and compliance training as required.
  • Perform other related job duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources preferred or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience as an HR coordinator.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Efficient HR administration and people management skills.
  • Excellent record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Remarkable organizational and conflict management skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and human resources software.
  • Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable speaking in front of both large and small groups
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.


This full-time, exempt position will be located at JSM's Corporate Headquarters located at the Orlando-Apopka Airport. The work schedule will be Monday thru Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with some travel to our different sites.

Additional Requirements:

The employee must be able to successfully pass a drug screening, a drivers' license check and validation, a ten (10) year Criminal History Records Check (CHRC), federal fingerprinting and security threat assessment as well as airport security badging.

Continued employment is subject to all the above requirements on an ongoing basis, failure of passing any of the above requirements may result in immediate termination.
