The Director of DDS Residential Services is responsible for the everyday operation of the DDS Residential Department ensuring that individuals served within the Department live in homes that are valued within the community and that have the highest quality of life possible. QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in residential services with 2 of these being in a supervisory capacity is required High School Diploma/GED with 6 years experience in residential services with 2 of these being in a supervisory capacity required Ability to complete all initial and ongoing background checks including but not limited to: CORI, SORI, Fingerprinting, LEIE, Driving record, E-verify, Physical, PPD and licensing and/or certification checks (i.e. nursing). Valid US driver's license and ready access to a vehicle. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Must maintain all certification needed in the program including: CPR, First Aid, MAP, Safe Techniques to Avoid Restraint and Training (START), and BFAIR Human Rights Training. May need to attend workshops, seminars or BFAIR functions as needed for job development. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Treat each individual, co-worker, supervisor and others with the respect and dignity due every human being, and adhere to the Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDS) Human Rights Standards and the Disabled Persons Protection Commission's (DPPC) Mandated Reporter Guidelines around physical and emotional abuse, including the timely reporting of violations. Ensure all homes meet quality assurance and certification standards by monthly review of necessary documentation and routine participation in and/or observation of services provided. Complete and follow up on home inspections. Act as an appropriate role model through dress, speech and actions both in the home and community to foster appropriate social relationships and skill development. Oversee referral and intake process in collaboration with DDS. Provides case management support to individuals as needed. Reviews all Individual Support Plans (ISP) and other related information and sign off on annual reviews; attend ISP meetings as necessary. Plans and participates in activities for individuals. Provides advocacy, guidance and information to individuals and families served within the Residential Department. Oversee the interviewing, hiring, orientation and training of new employees. Provides supervision and training to Program Supervisor and House Managers as needed including but not limited to:

Facilitate staff meetings. Ensure that staff training and evaluations are up to date. Meet regularly with each staff member for supervision and complete annual evaluations/assessments as required.

Identify staff training needs, make recommendations for future trainings and provide resources and training opportunities for employees. Collaborate with Staff and Training Developer on training needs. Provide regular reports and documentation to Vice President, Residential Services, DDS and the finance department regarding program services including:

Monthly and annual reports including update on contracts and billing Monthly DDS Report Annual Program Summary Strategic and Program Planning updates Staff Evaluations

Monitor and review all program fiscal expenses; maintain operational costs within budget constraints. Provide Human Rights Committee with information, as needed, and support its efforts to monitor services and educate individuals, families, and staff. Perform other duties as assigned by Vice President, Residential Services and/or designee. This is a partial list of responsibilities.
