Job Description

This position is concerned with the design, development, measurement, calculation, calibration, and implementation of radiation treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist under the direction of the Medical Physicist. This person is a member of the dosimetry team and possesses expertise on the treatment planning system, record and verify system, linear accelerator, simulator, CT scanner, HDR unit, and radioactive sources most commonly used for brachytherapy treatment. This position serves as a resource for the Staff Medical Dosimetrists, Radiation Therapists, Simulation Therapists, Medical Physicists, and Radiation Oncologists.

Required qualifications:

  • Must meet the education requirements of the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) for Certified Medical Dosimetrists (CMDs).
  • Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist (Vendor Managed)
  • Upon hire: National Certified Medical Dosimetrist - Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board
  • Current CMD in good standing.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with CMS Xio, Philips Pinnacle, MOSAIQ, Tomotherapy, and HDR treatment planning.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
