Position Summary

Henri's Bakery and Deli has been an Atlanta institution for over 90 years. The Company has tremendous opportunity to grow and expand our customer base through our current offerings as well as expanding into new verticals such as catering, food truck & events and ecommerce. We are looking for an energetic and driven Pastry Cook / Baker with experience in mixing and baking cakes, pastries and other baked goods.

Core Responsibilities
  • Working with the P.M. production team, generally from 12 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • Assist with the production & baking process from start to finish for a variety of baked goods such as Cakes, Cookies, Croissants, Danish, Breads etc.
  • Finishing of French Pastries for our retail locations.
  • Maintain a clean working environment, including work station, cooler and freezer organization.
  • Assist team members with production of other baked goods as business dictates.
  • Support of packaging team to ensure finished goods are organized for distribution accurately.
  • Help support our leadership team to maintain production and production related processes.
Qualifications/Skills Required
  • 1 year of experience in a bakery setting or equivalent education experience.
  • Some understanding of bakery operations and processes.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to be standing and working on your feet for 8+ hours at a time.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to read and follow recipes and production schedules
  • Work in both warm and cool environment
  • Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, and soy
  • Team player, willing to go above and beyond to help the team.
  • Culinary School Baking certification is not necessary but preferred.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
WORKING ENVIRONMENT

This position will be working in our main production facility.
