**Duties & Responsibilities**

+ Manage and direct the development of brand objectives and strategic plans. Oversee implementation of tactical plans (sales/promotional tools, conventions/symposia, PR/media, web strategy, market research, etc.) to ensure attainment of annual goals.

+ Represent and lead the development and implementation of brand positioning, messaging, and brand personality along with technical strategies in relation to the brand with internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate the development of scientific data in support of the portfolio. Ensure both brand and technical direction is communicated to and executed by external agencies.

+ Forecast, budget and monitor Gross and Net Sales and expenses for the brand to ensure brand contributions are in line with corporate expectations. Meet financial targets marketing department and for the brand(s) including net sales, discounts, rebates, OPEX and market share.

+ Ensure continuous review of product and market performance, competitive intelligence, field force capacity and needs, market research to identify key growth opportunities and hurdles facing the brands; ensure development of appropriate actions and contingency plans. Communicate insights and recommendations to the team.

+ Chair/lead cross-functional teams involving Marketing, Sales, Technical, Market Research, Regulatory, Global Marketing and Legal; actively soliciting team expertise and input in the development and execution of brand and technical strategies.

+ Ensure department is staffed with qualified and highly motivated personnel. Effectively administer salary and reward programs. Guide all disciplinary action including terminations. Recognize, coach and develop personnel performance for increased responsibility. Develop actionable MAG plans, provide regular feedback, and conduct timely MAG Plan reviews. Identify performance challenges, create action plans and monitor the effectiveness of these action plans.

+ Act as the species lead for brand lifecycle management and business development opportunities that align with strategic direction of the business. Effectively coordinate with Global strategic marketing to provide for portfolio expansion and growth.

+ Develop and work with Key Opinion Leaders to validate and optimize brand strategies and tactics, lead and exchange technical information with the global BI community.

+ Develop and execute account based marketing strategies for use with strategic accounts in collaboration with field team. Utilize CRM tool to drive these marketing strategies and tactics to the appropriate targeted strategic customers utilizing CVM. Implement through the BIVI sales force to customers. Effectively monitor/measure results and through this analysis make appropriate pro-active business decisions. Develop, coordinate and execute annual business plan as per schedule.

+ Conduct job in a collaborative manner with Marketing Operations and Global Marketing counterparts for both swine and poultry.

**Requirements**

+ Bachelors degree from an accredited institution required.

+ MBA or DVM preferred.

+ Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive industry experience.

+ A minimum of three (3) years of sales management or marketing or related experience preferred.

+ Four to six (4-6) years of experience in leading employees, leading businesses/functions, and leading projects.

+ History of successful performance.

+ A thorough understanding of the marketing process with proven ability to develop and implement marketing campaigns.

+ Clear understanding of strategic account management and account based marketing.

+ Excellent communication skills and capacity to manage external marketing agencies.

+ Demonstrated strong analytical skills, organizational ability and project management skills.

+ Demonstrated understanding and ability to monitor budget and resources.

+ Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization.

+ Understand appropriate market research process, tools and methods for decision making.

+ Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and database applications.

+ Ability to travel (may include overnight travel).
