POSITION OVERVIEW: The Learning & Development Specialist will support the overall efforts of the Learning and Development Team. The Specialist will also collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify and design high quality and engaging learning experiences while adhering to industry best practices, business needs, and regulatory objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary: Develop and design computer-based training (CBT) courses, learning materials and content Create assessments, activities, job aids, and other learning tools Analyze, update, and refine existing online content Collaborate in the design, development, and facilitation of company-wide learning initiatives, including new hire programs Manage online learning communities, testing of training materials, course troubleshooting, and user experience Provide logistical support for course delivery, learning related reports, and metrics Facilitate discussions and train Members on how to use learning technologies Keep current on best practices in instructional design and visual communications Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Proficient in proofing and assisting with the production of learning and multi-media materials, including the ability to convey technical information to non-technical or bilingual Team Members Proven experience in facilitating and presenting information in one-on-one, small and large group situations Excellent project management and organizational skills Ability to prioritize, manage multiple simultaneous projects and deadlines Ability to analyze data, trends and apply judgment to various situations Previous experience working in a luxury resort environment Ability to process confidential and sensitive information with discretion Must be willing and able to occasionally work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
