The position will be responsible for cleaning facilities, emptying garbage cans, shampooing and buffing floors; repairing and maintaining janitorial equipment; making minor repairs to plumbing fixtures; assisting with grounds maintenance such as fertilizing landscaping, snow removal, and painting; and other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsThis position requires graduation from high school or equivalent education and one (1) year of custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial, industrial, hospital, governmental or similar environment; ORSix (6) months of general work experience and one (1) year of custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial, industrial, hospital, governmental or similar environment; ORSix (6) months of experience as a Custodial Worker I in Nevada State service ORAn equivalent combination of education and experience as described abovePursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances.A valid Class "C" driver's license or higher operator's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.ScheduleThe typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 am to 12:30 pm, this is subject to change based on organizational needs.This position is designated as Essential Personnel.
