Job Overview:
Ram Enterprise is in search of skilled and committed individuals to join our workforce as Industrial Construction Site Supervisors. This position is hourly and non-exempt, reporting directly to the Project Superintendent. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that employee safety remains the utmost priority.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Uphold safety as the foremost concern of the organization.
2. Oversee craft teams ranging from entry-level to journeyman-level workers engaged in various construction tasks.
3. Analyze project blueprints and plans, assess the necessary time, materials, equipment, and supplies; create work schedules and assign crews; inspect job sites to verify adherence to project specifications; evaluate employee performance; complete time sheets, incident reports, and work orders; instruct staff on relevant job functions; requisition supplies and equipment; ensure job sites are maintained appropriately.
4. Execute new construction and remodeling projects, demonstrating proficiency in concrete work, light civil construction, mechanical installations, HDPE piping, and structural steel assembly in industrial environments.
5. Be prepared to work various schedules, including on-call, day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and holidays, and be open to travel and working out of town as required.
6. Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.7. Possess the ability to comprehend and execute both verbal and written instructions.
8. Collaborate effectively and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
9. Organize and make available safety documentation for all sites (hazard assessments, site-specific training, annual refreshers, identification badges) on demand.
10. Demonstrate the ability to safely lift heavy objects regularly, utilizing proper lifting techniques.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
1. A valid driver's license is mandatory upon hiring and as a condition for continued employment.
2. 10-15 years of experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
3. Familiarity with methods and materials commonly used in construction trades.
4. Understanding of best practices and general building standards within the industry.
5. Proficient knowledge of the Uniform Building Code (U.B.C.).
Work Environment:
Work is conducted in various industrial settings, including workshops, mining sites, and construction zones.
Work environments may involve exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity, moving mechanical parts, electrical hazards, toxic substances, airborne particles, and fumes from adhesives, solvents, and paints.
Frequent exposure to high noise levels from machinery.While performing job duties, you will be required to stand, sit, communicate, hear, see, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated surfaces.
Personal protective equipment is routinely required, including hard hats, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, respirators, gloves, and other necessary protective gear.
