La Chinesca is the latest addition to the 13th Street Kitchens restaurant group. Situated in the Spring Arts District, La Chinesca draws its inspiration from the border town in Mexico, Mexicali, where there is a unique combination of Chinese and Mexican cuisine.

We are now seeking a Chef de Cuisine to work collaboratively as part of the management team to create a unique dining experience in Philadelphia. Being positive and creating a positive work environment is key to succeeding in this role. We are a high volume restaurant that requires the necessary skills to oversee a management team, prep team, and line cook team. Candidates must be willing to work in concert with ownership, and upper management to achieve all of the combined goals, but most importantly, must have a strong desire to cook well seasoned great food, and be willing to teach.

Desired Requirements:

* A minimum of 4 years of progressive culinary management experience in well-rated restaurants

* Experience hiring, training and mentoring salaried managers and hourly BOH staff.

* Strong financial acumen with the proven ability to oversee cost control, labor management and bottom-line profitability.

* Ability to drive performance and results of a diverse culinary workforce

* Strong Expediting skills
